Sheet Pan Sausage, Peppers, & Onion Sandwiches

Does anyone else out there love their sheet pans? Because I do! Sheet pan meals are literally the best idea anyone has ever had, like ever! I wish I could shake the hand of whatever genius came up with such a spectacular idea.
Anyway, getting off track.
Tonight is all about the sheet pan. I have been awfully tired today, so when dinner time started rolling around I needed to fix up something quick and easy. Enter the sheet pan. I grabbed a few things out of the pantry and out of the fridge, and before I knew it, dinner was ready.
Let me break it down for you.

This is one of my very easy recipes because you only need 5 ingredients (not including the spices) to make this.

Slice the peppers and onions into strips and chop the garlic.

This is where I like to take off that synthetic casing off the sausage. I don't know about you, but I think it's icky and kinda gross, plus anything synthetic should not be ingested anyway!

Pour out about a tablespoon or so onto a foil lined sheet pan. Unless, of course, if you have non-stick foil that I am so fond of, there is no need for more oil.

Place your vegetables and your sausage on the baking sheet

Remember that chopped garlic? Sprinkle that all over the veggies.

Okay, so I add a decent amount of spices to my dishes, but like I always tell you guys, it is totally up to you and your taste buds on what kind of spices you like. In this recipe I use a teaspoon each of onion powder, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning, and a quarter teaspoon red pepper flakes. I used sweet sausage, so I needed to add a little spicy-ness. If you are using mild or hot sausage be sure not to use too much red pepper.

Don't be shy! Get your hands dirty, live a little! Mix it all up!

Make sure you get the sausage too! I like to push the seasoning into the sausage so it sticks.

A little salt....

And a little pepper...

And into the preheated oven it goes! And get this, only 25 minutes!

I love club rolls for this recipe! Nothing beats a good old fashioned sausage, pepper, and onion sub!

But I do hate all that extra dough! So scoop it out with your hands

And see! Perfect amount of room for the sausage, peppers, and onions

After 25 minutes all you have to do is assemble your masterpiece!

Serve with some fries and you have an amazing little dinner!

I know my family loves these little subs, now it's your turn to try it! And when you do, don't forget to drop me a comment below so I know how it turned out. Happy Momming!
